These dogs of mine are a hoot. We have been trying to figure out how to handle their poor behavior lately when left alone. #1 They're spoiled. We are retired and home most of the time. We have our internet shop, and our products are made at home. Recently they started tearing things up when we leave and escalating their activities and making me a prisoner.
We tried about two weeks ago leaving a couple of those chewy leather like bones about 5 inches long, and what a crazy result. They didn't tear anything up, but they seemed to be having a standoff when we got home. Then our black lab, proceded to hide three of them, and eventually got the other one and hid it to. Then she spent about four days worrying and checking and rehiding, and finally our other dog, Joy ate one. We left again a couple of days ago, and the same result. I followed our lab and she hides in good places, inside and out. I found a half eaten one in my sewing trash can, and I didn't know what it was until I cleaned off the thread and material scraps. Funny, funny.
