Life

It's funny how we can turn our back on life and not really know it.

What the????

My husband just handed me a bowl of vanilla ice cream, and it made my mouth and tongue itch or something.  I have to admit I gave up ice cream to keep my weight down.  When my clothes start getting tight, it's time to do something, since I'm to cheap to buy a bunch of new clothes.  I have the clothes I need and it's up to me to fit in them.  Anyway, my itching is going away, so I guess I'm OK.
P.S.   We haven't gone camping yet, it needs to get warmer, like late April.

Vaclav Havel, in a speech:  "I am not an optimist because I am not sure that everything ends well.  Nor am I a pessimist because I am not sure that everything ends badly.  I just carry hope in my heart.  Hope is a feeling that life and work have meaning.  You either have it or you don't, regardless of the state of the world around you.  Life without hope is an empty, boring and useless life.  I cannot imagine that I could strive for something if I did not carry hope in me.  I am thankful to God for this gift.  It is as big a gift as life itself."

Camp Out In Our New Old Camper

My husband, Larry, talked me into buying a pop up camper; an old pop up camper.  It's really small but I agree with him on the concept of camping, get back to real camping.   We have our motor home in Albuquerque for when we decide to go visit my daughter and her husband and the four grandkids.  No complaints about that , but we have camped all our life and living in a motorhome ain't it.  So sometime in April or May, we will test drive our little camper.  We bascically will cook outside, and sit outside and sleep inside. If it should rain, there is a two burner stove and small sink inside and a small table and benches around it.  What I should mention is that we are both in the senior catagory and we have two medium sized dogs.  You know it could be a disaster, but we are pretty experienced.  I just don't like camping around bears in a tent.  Pop ups have tent sides, so we need to camp away from bears.  We have camped in the mountain of Colorado in a tent and listened to a bear tear up an ice chest outside Don't want anymore of that.  I will try to let you know how it goes.

Trying something new

I work so hard on our online shop, www.tigerseyecrafts.etsy.com,  and yet we don't seem to reach the public buyers.  I have worked on SEO like is necessary to connect to the onine shopper, but to no avail.  I decided to try a shop on a different online sales site, called ArtFire.  I will give it a little bit of time, but it can be difficult to upload pictures.  It only takes smaller pictures, and some will go and some have to be resized.  I don't have a program on my computer to do that since it crashed last fall.  So, I downloaded the Picassa program from Google and that did the trick.  But, Picassa uses Picnik for the resizing and they have announced they will be closing in April.  Oh well, I am trying Artfire, but don't expect much.
